HFSC Talks Drug Clearinghouse at October Meeting

The Hamilton Niagara Fleet Safety Council Chapter had a good meeting yesterday as they talked about the Clearing House Program beginning in January 2020 in the United States. Branden Kearse of DriverCheck gave a great  presentation on how the program will work. You can learn more at www.drivercheck.ca

Other topics discussed at the meeting were new taxes for carriers in the U.S. industry standards for training, and new courses available through IHSA. www.ihsa.ca

Hamilton Niagara Fleet Safety Council Has Full House for September Meeting

The meeting was packed yesterday as the Hamilton Niagara Fleet Safety Council Chapter met for the first time after their Summer break. New Chair Person Vickie DeVos led the meeting with Vice Chair Brian Lemoine closing it after a successful presentation and discussion.

Topics discussed include a legal update from Jodi Burness, updates on the conference in October and information about nominations for the Ken Howell award. A presentation by Todd Moore of ISB Global services rounded out the meeting. It’s not too late to join the chapter and keep your workplace safe.

Todd Moore Talks Cargo Theft at Hamilton Niagara Fleet Safety Council Meeting

Cargo Specialist Todd Moore of ISB Global Services presented today to the Hamilton Chapter of the Fleet Safety Council. Moore talks about cargo crime and gave an overview of how carriers and drivers can be more diligent in preventing theft.

IHSA and Hamilton Niagara Fleet Safety Council Join in Truck Convoy for Special Olympics

IHSA and members of the Hamilton Chapter of the Fleet Safety Council participated in the Truck Convoy for Special Olympics in Paris Ontario helping them have a successful convoy with 131 trucks and over $1,000,000 raised. Great job to all those involved.

Sheila Land-Celebration of Life

We are very sad to have to say goodbye to long time member Sheila Land. A Celebration of Life will be held on July 27th, 2019. Brad Bird has forwarded information on the event. Sheila will be missed by all that knew her.

Sheila Land Celebration of Life

On the evening of July the 6 th we lost this beautiful woman.  Sheila Land will be missed by so many friends and family. When Sheila knew her time was coming  she decided against a traditions funeral. So her celebration of life is going to be honouring her wishes as best as possible.

Date:  Saturday July 27 th.  2019.

Time:  Farewell service to begin at  1:00 pm. Drinks,food and celebration to follow.

Place:  St. Elizabeth Village Edelweiss Clubhouse  ( The Barn) 1 Bishop Tonnos Way  Hamilton, Ontario

Directions:   Follow Rymal Road to Garth. South on Garth first driveway to your left is main gate. Follow roadway into Village past main parking and office area to security gate. Enter pin code at gate drive straight then to The Barn at end of street.

For those who attended Sheila*s retirement party it*s the same building.

As per Sheila*s wishes this is to Celebrate her life, to enjoy each other*s company, share stories, and in true Sheila fashion to get together and  have a few laughs.
